Digital Photography Fundamentals
Photography is about decision-making, problem solving and making images that go beyond the simple matter of recording. In this program students will be introduced to the fundamentals of digital photography over 8 sessions covering history, techniques & practice. This program then explores more applied forms, such as portrait and creative forms of photography.

- Understand the history & evolution of photography
- Acquire a technical & visual vocabulary, which helps them to express their analysis of photographic sources
- Understand the basic elements and principles of design and composition
- Demonstrate proper exposure settings to achieve desired effects
- Understand light sources, types & quality of light
Students of age 17+
Beginner Level Students.
No Specific Cameras are required for this program, a smart phone camera is enough. However the availability of a Camera with manual controls is preferred.
Thursdays 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Class ends with a culminating Exhibition for family and friends celebrating the students’ work all season & “”Completion Certificates”” for successful Students.
